Slow Blogging

Filed under: Personal — Barry Carey at 6:04 pm on Friday, July 6, 2007

Blogging will be a bit slow for the next couple of weeks as I’ll be spending two weeks at Biola University in California doing some class work. I’m also working at the hospital a great deal more than usual to make up for the time I’ll be away. I’ll still try to post an occasional blog.

Jeremy is also in the midst of his move to Berkeley, California, where he’ll be beginning his studies for his Ph.D. in philosophy. This will limit his ability to pick up the slack.

God is good to us. Thanks to all those who are interested in what we have to say here.

I was just at Biola Monday afternoon/evening checking out the modular MA in Apologetics program, which I may be starting soon. I wish I would have thought about it, realized you might be there, and maybe tried to meet up with you. Were you at JP Moreland’s lecture or at Ken Samples’?

Aaron, I wish I would have known you were here. I would have loved to meet with you. I was at J.P.’s lecture in the evening and was with Kenneth Samples during the entire day. What’d you think?

I was at J.P.’s talk that night with my wife…we probably saw each other but didn’t realize it. Too bad! We (my wife and I) were the younger-looking-than-our-years couple sitting together in the second row all the way to the audience left.

I thoroughly enjoyed the lecture (we only saw JP, not Ken, but I thought JP’s willingness and ability to interact in a clear, articulate, and personable way with the students’ questions was great - I think he is an able communicator) and was able to get most of my questions about the program answered earlier in the day. Granted that I work through a couple of issues I still have to resolve, it looks like I will probably be starting the program soon (probably in the spring, though possibly as early as this fall). Would you mind fielding some questions about your experience with the program, Barry? It would really help me as I weigh things out.

Thanks, and have fun for the rest of your time in So. Cal!
