“God” Responds to Lawsuit

According to this CNN Story, “God” has responded to a lawsuit filed by self-proclaimed agnostic Nebraska state senator Ernie Chambers. Chambers filed suit…

seeking a permanent injunction against the Almighty for making terroristic threats, inspiring fear and causing “widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants.”

The response claims that the defendent is immune from earthly laws and that the court lacks jurisdiction. It also claims that blaming God for evil misses an important point:

I created man and woman with free will and next to the promise of immortal life, free will is my greatest gift to you.

The point was missed: when people deliberately do stupid things, they then “sue” for being stupid….and in this country, usually win…when you smoke 2 packs a day for 50 years, and then sue and win a million dollars because you thought they are good for you, when you drink “hot” coffee, knowing it is “hot coffee” not cold coffee, and then spill it on yourself and then sue for several million, etc., etc., when my neighbor allows here mangy animals to go all over my property, spreading disease, and then tells a trooper on somebody who tries to return the animal or tell humane society (all very selfish narcisisstic behavior), when a negligent parent lets their kids go to somebody’s house and then they get hurt drown in a (private) swimming pool, regardless of the fact they are trespassing and win, then there is no justice in this country except for that which can be bought through lawyers. When Michael Vick goes to jail while this “jena 6″ who almost beat some kid to death go free because of racial issues, and OJ is still free because he can hire the most expensive lawyer, our values are seriously skewed. In this morning’s paper, in my city, the city’s personnel officer tripped in a city park and is suing the town for “substantial amounts” for her “lifelong disability” because she broke her ankle bending down walking on a trail….it is surely a sign of armageddon….it is also called tragedy of commons…because there are too many stupid people who don’t take responsibility for anything….the Wash Dc lawyer sued for 50 mil for a pair of pants!!!getting lost….at the same time, it is “me, me, me” generation…when supposed Christians have bumper stickers advocating bombing iraq on their SUVs during church!!!! there is something wrong….and is why christians are rightly perceived as hypocrites in this country….try being a Muslim for a day and see what it was like in ancient Rome….for we are a modern day Roman Empire trying to salvage our legacy while our whole country and culture and “what should be important” falls apart…now Christian is synonomous with “I am more important than you are”…..bravo to this state rep for at least trying to show a glimpse of what is going on in our society…..

The Calvinists don’t have much to worry about here. Any “god” claiming that free will is his greatest gift to mankind is clearly an imposter.
